Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
To provide essential administrative and organisational support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations within the department or organisation. This role includes handling general office duties, managing communication, coordinating events and projects, and supporting team members in administrative tasks. The Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining a well-organised, productive work environment and serves as a central point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Organise, update, and maintain both digital and physical filing systems for easy retrieval of information / documentation.
- Oversee general office operations, ensuring a well-organised workspace and coordinating the maintenance of office equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation, supporting the communication and data needs of the team. Prepare, proofread, and edit correspondence, presentations, and other documents as needed.
- Handle office supplies, inventory and ordering, to ensure adequate stock levels and seamless workflow.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for office maintenance, ensuring a conducive work environment and operational continuity.
- Maintain and update records, databases, and reports to ensure accurate information is available to the team.
- Provide general administrative support to the team as needed, fostering collaboration and productivity in daily operations.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A high proficiency in office software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for efficient task management and communication.
- Previous experience in administrative roles, showcasing competence in handling administrative tasks and office procedures.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies to support continuous improvement in administrative functions.
- Familiarity with security protocols and practices to protect confidential data and maintain organisational security standards.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
