What you will be doing
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Group Lifecycle Engineering Capability Team working on EHM and data analysis specific technologies and capabilities.
The primary purpose of this role is to work with stakeholders to define future EHM and data analysis capability that is needed across the RR group, spanning tools, data, methods and processes. In addition, you will be responsible for working with teams across the business such as Controls, Supply Chain Units, as well as Universities and Platform providers to deliver specific capability work packages. Themes will be identified across the SATAA (Sense, Acquire, Transfer, Analyse, Act) framework.
You will be working on topics such as Future Programmes, Ultrafan, Research & Technology programmes (REPLENISH), Capability Investment programmes (PREVENT), Data Management, Cloud computing and analysis, Intelligent Engine for Defence, Machine Learning, 1Hz data, cross Division knowledge share, task automation and AI assisted technologies.

Responsibilities
- Lead exploratory concept studies for new analytical methods
- Represent Engineering for trials of new tools proposed from internal and external Digital teams
- Creating strategy roadmaps and consulting with key stakeholders in their generation and communication
- Evaluate business benefit for capability options and recommend course of action
- IPT leading capability improvement programmes
- Collaborate across Divisions to advance knowledge in the EHM skill area
- Actively participate in the EHM Community of Practice
- Communicate and disseminate new capability to teams globally
- Defining and creating data management best practices

- Engineering or Numerical degree (or equivalent experience).
- Proven ability to support and lead cross-functional teams.
- Good understanding of systems engineering, ideally including end to end health monitoring systems.
- Good understanding of data analytics, ideally cloud based.
- Understanding of Gas Turbine physical/functional characteristics and failure modes is desirable but not essential.
- Able to work proactively and autonomously.
