The Procurement Data & Analytics Manager is responsible for transforming procurement’s data into strategic, actionable insights. This role blends strong analytical capability with commercial acumen, enabling better decision-making, driving value, and improving supplier performance.

You will own the procurement data landscape, develop dashboards and advanced analytics, partner with category managers to identify opportunities, and help shape the organisation’s data strategy. What you will be doing

Data Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the development and execution of the procurement data and analytics strategy.

  • Define and maintain data standards, taxonomies, and governance structures to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Manage strategy for master data for suppliers, categories, spend, contracts, and risk information.

  • Ensure data quality through regular monitoring, cleansing, and automation initiatives.

Analytics & Insights

  • Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting suites covering spend, savings, supplier performance, risk, and sustainability.

  • Use advanced analytics (forecasting, clustering, scenario modelling, cost drivers, should-cost) to generate insights.

  • Identify and quantify value opportunities across categories (e.g., consolidation, demand optimisation, leakage reduction).

  • Drive predictive and prescriptive analytics initiatives to support strategic sourcing and supplier management.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with category managers, buyers, finance, and operational teams to understand needs and deliver relevant insights.

  • Present analytical findings in a clear, commercial, and compelling way to senior stakeholders.

  • Influence decision-making by recommending data-driven strategies and interventions.

Automation & Digital Enablement

  • Support the deployment and adoption of digital procurement tools.

  • Develop the data strategy to enable introduction of AI-driven capabilities.

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and analysis processes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Champion data literacy across procurement, delivering training and best practices.

  • Monitor market trends in digital procurement, analytics, and AI to inform capability development.

  • Lead or support cross-functional projects to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.

Positions Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement analytics, supply chain analytics, business intelligence, or a similar data-focused role.

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes (category management, sourcing, contracts, supplier management).

  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate data into stories for non-technical audiences.

  • Curious, analytical, and highly data-literate.

  • Comfortable challenging assumptions and influencing decisions through evidence.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
